15 YEARS OF DICOVERING A SURPRISING PORTUGAL
People say time flies, and apparently it’s true.
As we begin 2026, we’ll be celebrating our 15th anniversary since our very first trip in Portugal with the editor of Land Rover Owner International magazine. Back in 2011 this was just a hobby driven by our passion for Land Rovers, when Portugal wasn’t on the map for vehicle-based adventure and discovery travelling, commonly known as “overlanding”. We were truly pioneers and little did we know what that first trip would be a life-changing moment for us.
In 2014, we were the first to set up a registered company to discover our wonderful country with a sense of purpose, exploring its most remote regions in a respectful and environmentally responsible way. Having obtained all the permits and permissions required, two years later we decided to take on the challenge of leaving the comfortable corporate world and making this project a way of life.
At that time, we had no idea what these years would bring, nor did we imagine that we would go through a pandemic that (almost) forced us to close our doors. What is certain is that, after all these years of travelling, despite the ups and downs, the difficulties of the terrain, the mechanical breakdowns, or even the unfair competition from a few companies who take advantage of our work for their own benefit, here we are, more enthusiastic than ever for reaching this milestone in our history as a company and as individuals.
Over the years, we made it to the coverS of the most important magazines, both at national and international level and today we continue to lead the way with our research of the country’s best experiences, and we go to places others cannot even dream about, to provide our guests a distinctive and memorable experience.
Looking back, we remember and honor each person who believed in us, beginning with the Editor of LRO himself, and all those who embraced the challenge of discovering a lesser-known side of Portugal, its traditions and its people, with our guidance and local knowledge.
Our guests (we don’t like to call them clients, because many become much more than just paying customers), have been and will continue to be the number one reason why we continue this endless and always surprising adventure of traveling through our country. To all of them, our BIG “obrigado” and our invitation to accompany us on our journeys.
This year will be a time of celebration with a few surprises we are working on, so stay tuned and follow our website and social media.
Here’s to a wonderful new year of trips and experiences in Portugal.
